The Need
Fresh fruit like kiwifruit and avocados are being grown, picked and packed in greater and greater volumes.

Growers and packers had begun to demand a more cost-effective packaging system that was easy to use, could withstand long periods in storage, and continued to protect produce in transit to markets around the globe.

The Solution
Carter Holt Harvey's PLB™ system meets all of these needs. The PLBTM system provides an interlocking, stackable corrugated box with a built-in lid.

At the heart of the PLB™ system is the custom-built box erector that takes pre-cut corrugated components and assembles the finished PLBTM box at the packing site. A machine assembled box allows strength to be built into specific load bearing panels, while panels that are subject to less stress can be lighter.

PLB™ boxes have a patented lug-in-slot system that locks them together for ease of stacking and enhanced stability in storage and in transit.

Dimensions
PLB™ packs are available to fit on commonly used pallets including 1200x1000mm and 885x1015mm pallets.
