Carter Holt Harvey's Mussel Max™ Packaging System is the most revolutionary packing solution developed within the mussel industry for years. Mussel Max™ consists of a patented delivery magazine, hopper or delivery shute, and settling unit that allows bagged mussels to be packed into the carton at speed. The automated in-feed can be tailored to suit the customer.

Once the bagged mussels are settled in a carton, an innovative tamper-evident locking seal is applied. The entire operation, from bagging to carton sealing, is now automated.

The Mussel Max™ Packaging System is portable and allows for packing speeds of up to either 30 or 60 cartons per minute.

Best of all, this process allows for a minimum of labour costs, delivering a major reduction in the total cost per tonne packed.
