Paper Bag have invested in state of the art hygiene manufacturing facilities which resemble that of a food manufacturing facility.
 The hygiene hall was manufactured to provide a clean environment in which to manufacture food grade multi-ply bags. The new facility has been manufactured to the critical hygiene standards required in the dairy industry - our largest customer.
Standards in the existing manufacturing area were adequate, but out of a desire to strive for excellence and satisfy customer needs we decided to bring our quality levels beyond the markets expectations.
The hygiene hall operates in a positive airflow environment. This ensures that no dust particles or unwanted contaminants can enter the area. Staff cannot wear their 'street' clothes past the 'red line' area, where 'white clothing' is changed into.
Multiply bags currently manufactured in the hygiene hall include dairy specific food grade, open mouth bags. These customers, particlarly the New Zealand Dairy Board are having to meet strict hygiene standards, which we are mindful of, and are assisting them maintain high standards through our own initiatives.
This recent capital investment in the food grade hygiene hall proves our committment to customers and provides a benchmark for the packaging industry.
