At the Carter Holt Harvey Paper Packaging Laboratory, we've been providing vital, accurate product testing services for over 20 years. Our experience means we can quickly analyse your needs, and provide relevant assessment of your product.

Our fully-equipped modern laboratory is accredited for testing to international standards. Most of our test methods are based on standard methods, predominantly Appita, but also TAPPI, ISO, PIRA and ASTM. Some of the methods have been developed in-house.

PPL offers a range of tests for paper, carton board, solid fibre, corrugated board and related products. Our most commonly requested test procedures include: - Total Box Compression - Physical Tests, including Edge Compression Resistance, Flat Crush Resistance and Liner Adhesion - Coating Tests, including the Cobb Water Absorptiveness test and tests for Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate - Paper Tests, including Short Span Compression Strength of Paper testing for Corner Board Crush

We provide international-standard reports, with full statistical analyses. Many other tests are available.
